Mary Sederburg, a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) for adolescents and young adults, has been an art teacher for seventeen years in Van Buren Community Schools. She has a bachelors of Science in Art Education, as well as a Masters in Education. She teaches dual credit college classes at the high school, and has taught both pottery and painting classes for adults through Indian Hills Community College. In addition to teaching art and business classes, Mary serves as the yearbook advisor, concessions manager, art club advisor, and takes many of the senior photographs for local students. Within the community, Mary serves as the President of the 4-H Council in Clark County, Missouri, as well as a 4-H Project Leader, and judge for art shows and 4-H fair projects. Other community involvement includes designing and painting play backdrops, signs and other painting jobs. She enjoys al facets of art from painting, drawing, pottery, and sculpture, to photography and computer graphics. Mary can make a wedding cake and, then, take the wedding pictures, too -- a bride's dream. Mary will be teaching Photography classes with Mike Foley.
