Dry Point Prints

This class will go over the process of dry point printing with plexi-glass and water based inks. 

Dry point is one of the friendliest versions of intaglio printing. With a sharp point the artist scratches the hard surface, then fills those scratches with ink and prints the ink onto cotton paper using the strong pressure of a press. The five hour class covers the basic of process, materials, sources, and alternative options. If time allows students can experiment with color inks or watercolor paints.
