Knitting: Beginning

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of all knitting. You will learn to cast on, to knit, purl and bind off. With these skills you will knit an ear warmer which you can wear yourself or give as a gift.

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00pm, break for lunch (bring your own or dine at a local establishment), 1:30 - 4:00 pm
Class Fee: $37.50 per student
Materials: Each student must bring one set of Size 8 knitting needles, one set of Size 10 knitting needles, and a large-eyed blunt needle. These should be straight needles. Each student must bring one skein of yarn, bulky, weight (No. 5) and a small scissor .
Note: Children interested in learning to knit are welcome. An adult partner would be appreciated. The adult need not pay unless he or she is also taking the class.
