Adventures in Lace Knitting

This class is designed to introduce the adventurous knitter to the joys of lace knitting. In the morning students will work on a lace sampler. They will learn how to knit the distinctive stitches of lace knitting and how to work from a chart of stitch symbols. In the afternoon students can continue the sampler or start a sweet summer shawl designed specially for the class by KnitHaus.
 
Experience Level: Intermediate
Class Size: 8 student maximum
 
Students should bring:
For the sampler: 
1 skein of lace weight yarn* (approx. 200 yards wound into a ball) US#5 straight or US#5 16” circular needles. 
For the summer shawl:
1 skein of Madelinetosh Merino Light* (435 yards wound into a ball) US#5 24” or 32” circular needles. 
Stitch markers appropriate for your needles, scissors and crochet hook size B or C. Bring a pen or pencil for taking notes on your handouts.
